Description

Pack of 10 spun Paper Eggs 60 mm for DIY vintage ornaments, old fashioned Easter decorations, painting and decorating.

60 mm is about the size of real chicken eggs.

Spun paper eggs are very easy to paint and decorate. You can use paint, markers, cover them with glue, sprinkle glitter, add fabric, and more. You can even decal your own pictures on the eggs (see our tutorial : how to paint and decorate spun paper eggs)

All eggs have a little hole at the bottom, in which you can insert and ornament loop along with a bead of glue.

NOTE: we carry many sizes of spun paper eggs. You can see them all along with pictures on our spun paper eggs product page.

Spun Paper Eggs: Questions and Answers

Can I dye the eggs just like real eggs?

They should not be immersed in liquids. The eggs would turn soft and spongy and may lose their original shapes.

Can I paint the eggs?

Absolutely, they are made of paper and are ready to go. There is no need for any primer.

How to paint Spun Paper Eggs?

The easiest way to paint them is to insert a wooden pick at the bottom and use it as a handle. All spun paper shapes already have a little hole at the bottom .

To paint a straight line around the egg, simply spin the pick while holding the brush still.

What paint do you recommend?

We like acrylic paint because it dries fast and once it is dry, it creates a strong protective layer around the egg. To protect the eggs even further, you can finish them with a non toxic clear coat such as mod podge.

How do spun paper eggs compare to plastic and styrofoam eggs?

Spun paper eggs are much easier to paint than plastic and styrofoam eggs. The feeling is similar to the one of painting on paper. Paint doesn’t smear and dries almost instantly.
